  1. Amen, Maree. These words of scripture never grow old, do they? Always meeting us right where we are and speaking new life into dry bones. Thanks for sharing, Maree. ((grace upon grace))

  2. Hola! I’m guilty of this too. Especially when it comes to anything medical. Baring in mind I’ve suffered medical trauma, so I’m also battling triggers and trauma induced fear. I’m trying so hard to overcome it, but it’s not easy. I know with God anything is possible. What’s the verse you’re referring to? I’m only asking because I’m blind and I can’t see pics anymore. I use a screenreader on the computer. It reads text aloud to me, but not if it’s in a picture. Gracias!
    God bless,
    Lauren

    1. Lauren,

The verse is – Therefore do not worry about tomorrow,
for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.
      Matthew 6:34 (NIV)

That is amazing you can use a screen reader to read the text aloud. Hopefully one day they will invent something that can describe the pictures. I bet it is not easy to not worry when you have medical triggers. On my favorite page for the month, I listed some books about worry. You might find them helpful. I know I did.

  3. No matter how many times I tell myself not to worry I still do. The time I’ve wasted. Not only do I punish my self with worry I bring my family, friends and anyone who will join me in my pity party. I’m going to remember this verse because I need to pray it over myself over and over. I want to let Gods words unchain me from my own prison.

    1. It is hard not to worry. In fact, I think it is pretty close to impossible since we are human and the life can be uncertain. However, I think we can worry in a healthy way. I plan to give a few tips that work for me later this week. Funny thing I didn’t really think I had a problem with worry until I started preparing for a talk I am giving tonight. I realized we all worry and we can all learn to manage our worry in a better way. I too have wasted so much time and energy worrying.
