Butterfly | Do you ever feel the need to hit pause on your daily routine? What does breathing space look like in your life?

Do you ever feel the need to hit pause on your daily routine? I’m curious, is it out of a need to rest, reset your priorities, hear from God, or something else. What does breathing space look like in your life?

God has put it on my heart to hit pause and reset during August. My first inclination is to attack some projects that keep moving to the bottom of my priority list. However, the Lord may have something else in mind. I’m open to listening to Him.

Listen for God’s voice in everything you do, everywhere you go;

He’s the one who will keep you on track.

Proverbs 3:6 (MSG)

I will take a blogging break during August to hit pause and reset. However, Grace and Truth will still be up and running each week, so don’t go anywhere. At the bottom of this post, you will find the current Link-up.

Our featured post on “Embracing the Unexpected” will return in September. In the meantime, please visit the other hosts and see what beautiful articles they have picked.

  1. I thought I had commented here before, but I don’t see it. I hope you’re having a good month. We all need to pause sometimes. Rest isn’t always doing nothing–sometimes we’re inspired by doing something different and refreshing, and it sounds like you’re experiencing that. Best wishes.

  2. YES…yes I do need that pause. Far more frequently than I allow them. I like to pause yet I often fill them up with garbage and things that do not give me peace. I will be watching that too. This is a great reminder for me…one I truly need. Thank you so much.

    1. Linda,

      You made me smile with your comment. I have to keep reminding myself I’m on a pause. Praying your take more frequent pauses in your life.

      Blessings,

      Maree

    1. Leslie,
      Thank you! It has been refreshing but to be honest, I am working on some projects, but it’s nice to have the extra time. I’m spending more time outside, enjoying God’s creation and reading. Blessings to you, Maree

  4. Grace, Blessing and The Holy Spirit in your Pausing, Maree! I was thinking about the importance of pausing just yesterday – and how important it is to know what empty space looks like and how to live in it. What a sweet time God has planned for you!

    1. Maryleigh, You always make me smile and sometimes gasp a little. I love what you said, “know what empty space looks like and how to live in it.” I struggle with relaxing in the empty space. However, lately, it has been amazing when I do—happy Weekend to you. Maree
