Did you set out to be a perfect parent?  When I stepped into parenting, I was bound and determined to be an ideal mom. But then it happened I made mistakes, one right after the other. Perfection was not attainable! I began to see my Mom in a new light, she too had made mistakes, but she had done the best she could.

Did you set out to be a perfect parent?  As I held my sweet baby in my arms, I vowed to be the ideal mom. But then it happened, I made mistakes, one right after the other. Perfection was not attainable! It was as if a light bulb went off and I began to see my Mom in a new light. She too had made mistakes, but she had done the best she could. Those simple words brought on new meaning.

This week I am featuring a post by Boma over at The April Journal. She wrote a touching story about a Mom who did the best she could. Click here to read, “She Did the Best She Could.” Maybe it is time to recognize our parents did the best they could or to cut yourself some slack and know you are doing the best you can.
