What about those times when life throws us a curveball, and we find ourselves unprepared for the challenge?  Where do we turn first?

Who likes a good challenge? I love it, especially when I’m ready. On the other hand, what about those times when life throws us a curveball, and we step into waters we never expected? All of a sudden, we find ourselves unprepared for the challenge. Where do we turn first?

Circumstances can quickly get downright scary when we don't know where to turn. Have you ever been there? What do you do first when unprepared for the challenge? #challenges Click To Tweet

Some of us will run and retreat while others will pull up their bootstraps and get moving. However,  what if we paused for a moment and took the time to prepare? It might be a surprise, but we most likely have more tools at hand than we thought. We solely need to bring them to the forefront of our minds.

You may be crying out right now, “Oh, but you don’t know my circumstances. They are utterly dire. I can’t possibly prepare.”

Or perhaps, you are on the opposite end feeling a little like me today. We think the difficulties ahead seem doable.  We find ourselves saying, “I’ve got this – no need to bother God; after all, I have been through worse.”

Many times we tend to underestimate the struggle. Therefore, we fail to prepare or tap into the tools we need to persevere well.

We all will face challenges, big and small. Being prepared will make all the difference in the world! It may also determine if you finish well. #challenges #beprepared Click To Tweet

    1. Linda – I think you are on to something. Fear holds us back from so much. I know it does me. Maree

  1. I like to think that my relationship with God prepares me for the curve balls of life. It’s the little things, the easy things, where I think I can do things on my own strength and forget to involve God.

  2. Thanks, Maree Dee, for featuring my post. I just wanted to encourage those on the Journey – because I so often need it myself!
