With the addition of unexpected circumstances, I felt as if a struggling relationship was too much to endure. Until someone wise spoke words that resonated and changed my thinking. Do you ever pray for God to close a door He doesn’t want you to go through? Then He shuts it, and you find yourself in utter shock and despair. It leaves you at a crossroads and usually in the middle of a waiting period. Quite possibly, you feel helpless and out of options. However, we have two choices that help in the wait when God closes a door. Will you choose what benefits or hurts you?

  2. To answer your question Maree these past few months have been ones of having to press into the Lord’s strength & comfort.

As we have been in lock down in our area & state for this entire quarter due to the Delta variant ravaging our state.
Which meant that I couldn’t get across state borders to attend both my daughter’s wedding & my eldest granddaughter’s wedding interstate.

This has been such an emotionally painful time for this Mama & grandmama…
    Blessings,
    Jennifer

    1. Oh, Jennifer, I am so sorry. Your circumstances sound so heartbreaking. This darn Covid has robbed us of so much. I bet your heart was broken. I hope that soon you will be able to see your daughters and granddaughter. Praying you can celebrate in some way soon. Praying for your heart. Blessings, Maree

  3. I appreciate your consistency in pointing up to healthier ways to live in relationship with each other and with God as evidenced in your blog posts, Maree. Thank you!

  4. Thank you for sharing these, Maree. You have such a beautiful way of expressing our true feelings in painful situations. I was especially touched by the closed door post and by the story of your stepfather and looking around for miracles in the midst of pain. Michele’s post, too. Thank you for your encouragement today! Love and blessings to you!
